I have become a great fan of olive oil…..I love it!…I don’t just use it for my salads, I also use it for my body , my hair, hands, feet.

After taking a shower take some olive oil(about a 1/2 a tsp), and pour it on your hands rub them together and then apply all over your body.

Hands and Nails

To keep your nails and cuticles in good shape as well as your hands , you want to deep your hands in about a cup of olive oil…

Think this may be too messy get some plastic gloves, latex, if not allergic or some cotton gloves….This will keep your hand protected as well as everything else around you.

No gloves .. no problem get some of those store bags and stick your hands in there. This is the cheaper way of getting your hands nice and soft as well as some great looking nails.

Olive oil can work great for chapped lips.It keeps them protected from the cold and keeps them moisturized to avoid breakage of the skin and cracking.

Hair and scalp

Want to have lustrous, shiny, silky, dandruff free long hair? Try using olive oil on your head.

Take some olive oil about 1/4 cup and apply it to your hair… After your are done applying it all over put a shower cap on or if you don’t have one just get a plastic bag over your hair and secure it with pins. Allow the oil to sit there for about 30 minutes then shampoo it and apply conditioner. Your hair will look great.

Want another great hair tip… Get one egg yolk and beat it, then take 3 tablespoons of mayonnaise and 1/4 cup olive oil….wrap it with plastic. Let stand for a good 30 minutes to one hour and then shampoo and rinse off.( Talk about a cholesterol treatment for your hair)

Apply olive oil and a smashed up avocado to your hair wrap it up in plastic and wait for about 1 hour then shampoo and rinse. This is a great hair treatment.

More benefits…Apply olive oil about a 1/2 tsp to your hands and then rub on your hair…If a 1/2 tsp seems like too much you can use less, you don’t want your hair to look too greasy,You can blow dry your hair, iron it with hot curling iron or flat iron, you can wrap it and then get under hair dryer if you have one, or allow it to air dry.

Bathing …..

If you want to get more benefits of olive oil on your skin … try using it in your bath tub. Be careful when you step in it or out of it as the water is going to be oily and the tub will be as well.  Olive oil + essential oils + warm water = nourished, relaxed body

Face …..

You can make a great facial cream that will help kill germs and bacteria as well as lighten your face and make it nice and smooth.

2/3 cup olive oil, 1/3 cup vinegar,1/3 cup water apply to face let stand for 10 minutes and rinse off. Do not use soap or you will wipe out the benefits of your home made cream.

If you have dry skin you can make yourself a facial scrub or cleansing cream…Apply olive oil to your face and then apply some brown sugar to your face. Scrub your face in circular motion all around your face. This is like doing a facial to yourself. After you are done scrubbing your face you will need to wipe it off with a wet cloth. The cloth should be wet with warm water.
